A different type of OutdoorLads social event but it is outdoors and it does involve some walking so we should all feel at home.
We are going to see an outdoor production of 'The Hobbit' in Lancasters Williamson Park.
You will need to book your own ticket, either by phoning the box office on 01524 598500 or on-line at dukes-lancaster.org
Tickets are £20.50 or £16.50 for concessions, plus a booking fee
Tolkien's fantastical adventure takes Bilbo, the dwarves and Gandalf to the far ends of Middle Earth. Join them on their journey as the woods and pathways of Lancaster's Williamson Park become enchanted forests and misty mountains, filled with strange and wonderful creatures; wood-elves and goblins and the subterranean Gollum, desparately searching for the locst ring.
The Hobbit promises a charming, epic journey from a little house to a big world full of songs, laughter and magic.
What to bring
This is an open air promenade performance which means we move around the park to see scenes from the show in different locations. You will need to wear walking shoes or tainers (no flip-flops) and bring some water proofs in case of rain but no umbrellas. You will also need something to sit on like a folding chair and some insect repelland would be good idea too.
Food & drink
The perfromance starts at 7.15pm so I suggest we meet from 6 onwards and bring a pic nic and drinks, There is a cafe in the park which sells drinks and snacks,
