8.5 miles3 to 3.5 hours walk plus time for lunch in the pub

This is a beautiful, 8.5 mile walk, especially dramatic at this time of year as we'll get to see (and smell) the extensive bluebell displays in the woods. The route starts and finishes in Henley on Thames, the oldest town in Oxfordshire which was established in the 12th century. Henley has over 300 listed buildings and is worth hanging around to explore at the end of the walk too if you can. We'll walk through the woods, then head to Rotherfield Greys, an ancient community that's mentioned in the Doomsday Book (1086). There we will stop for a pub lunch at the Maltsters Arms, www.maltstersarms.com, which has been open since the 18th century. The pub has a sheltered patio and an enclosed beer garden which I hope we can enjoy in some sunshine.

Dogs are welcome on this walk. If you do bring a dog please do remember that you are responsible for the behaviour of your dog, so be prepared to keep it on a lead, and to be considerate to anyone else on the walk who may be less confident with dogs around. Your dog is your responsibility!
