Edinburgh to Berwick on Tweed Road Cycle

An April Fools day cycle from Edinburgh to Berwick on Tweed - make sure your tyres are filled with Helium for that lighter of rides... Rocket boosters available - oops another porky slipped in there....

This event is for Road Bikers (Mountain bikers are liable to get left behind!) and you must be able to comfortably ride 45 miles at an average pace of 10mph in order to complete this one.

The 57 mile route will take us out through Tranent, Pencaitland, Lammermuir Hills, Duns and into Berwick upon Tweed where we will finish at the Railway Station.

Given the differing abilities of the riders in the group, it will be difficult to predict the time that we will be arriving in Berwick. If you don't stop, Strava predicts it will take 4 hours 40mins however knowing ODL groups it will take a lot longer. I will be planning to take a train home with the bike however cycle reservations on Virgin East Coast will have to be made at the station  before retiring to the pub for an hour or so.
