Join Steve to celebrate the imminent arrival of spring in the Surrey Hills AONB. Starting in the historic market town of Dorking, we will head through Denbies Vineyard and up to the North Downs ridge, from where far reaching views can be enjoyed. Heading further west we will reach Ranmore Common & the North Downs. Keeping a westerly bearing for a few miles, distant views towards Greensand Ridge can be appreciated until we drop down to Abinger. From there we head east into the woodlands, and the sandy northern slopes of Leith Hill into Dorking via the Nower.
Depending on progress there may be time for a swift half on route.
Please note that the estimated arrival time is subject to change depending on the terrain conditions.
What to bring
Do bring a headtorch as the amount of daylight is limited at this time of year.
Food & drink
Please bring a packed lunch, and sufficient water. The facilities at Dorking station are somewhat limited.
