Carpathian Mountain Marathon

Brasov Mountain Marathon (also 10k or half) in Transylvania's Carpathian mountains.

Anyone who can run can start training now for the marathon or half. 

We aim to meet up in the UK flying to Bucharest on the Wednesday / Thursday where we'll aim to spend a night and a day sightseeing before half days travel (train / hire car)  to Brasov ready for race day on Saturday.

There's 3 distances - full marathon, half and a 10k - something for everyone.

Please note that you will need to book and pay for your own flights, accommodation and all other expenses separately. More information on this will be provided soon on this page. However in the meantime please contact the event leader before booking as the aim is to co-ordinate this as a group. 

There are good direct flight from Heathrow, Stanstead and Birmingham (around £100 return) also Manchester, £180 but not great timings
