Cardiff Autumn Outdoorlads Social@ 'The Waterguard' in Cardiff BaySat 4th October from 19:00Our regular social, with a new venue! The WATERGUARD is a stylish and spacious pub in the heart of Cardiff Bay, between the Pierhead Building / Assembly and Norwegian Church. Castellated to the front and glass house to the rear, it has a large airy bar and plenty of seating in open plan and small cosy side rooms, as well as doors opening out onto lawns fronting the marina. Outdoorlads are hoping to take over one of the side side rooms, but if it's hot n sunny you'll find us lads outdoors... where we belong, but with a drink and some great chat!

What We'll Be Doing

This is an easy going 'pub evening'. You can catch up with 'lads' you've met on previous events and meet up with new ones in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

It's also a really great way for new members, friends or the 'ODL-curious' to find out more about Outdoorlads before taking the plunge with a weekend event! You can chat with the leaders and coords, tell them what you think of the events on offer, what's working and ideas for new or even better activities, and get the latest inside info on what's being planned, but not quite live on the site yet.

Lost?

If you are lost, call OutdoorLads on 0161 420 0001 then at the voice prompt press 1 followed by the event number, which is shown at the top of this page This will connect you with the leader's mobile, however please be aware that noise and reception problems doesn't guarantee he will be able to answer!

Getting There

The Waterguard is easy to find on Harbour Drive (map here), on your left as you walk from the Millennium Centre / National Assembly for Wales towards the Norwegian Church (about 100m).There are regular buses from Cardiff City Centre / Central station (look out for the 'Baycar'), and trains from Queen St every 12 minutes to Cardiff Bay.
