We will start from Hanborough Station, just 9 minutes' train ride from Oxford. We will take a stroll of about a mile to the village of Bladon, where we will visit the final resting place of the most famous of British prime ministers, at the village churchyard.

From there we will enter via the village the grounds of the Blenheim Palace estate. A circular walk will take in the best features of the grounds including the lake and landscapes which are amongst the greatest works of Capability Brown, the Column of Victory, and views of Blenheim Palace.

We return from the grounds back to Hanborough station in time to catch the train back to Oxford. If time we may detour to a local pub to make the most of the afternoon.
