Join Mike on this wonderful mid summer walk around the famous World Heritage site.

After exploring area around the village of Avebury we make the gentle climb towards the Marlborough Downs and the Ridgeway Path – a 137 kilometre National Trail. We follow the Ridgeway south towards Silbury Hill. This man made hill was constructed in three stages between 2700 BC and 2300 BC and is regarded as the most enigmatic and mysterious Neolithic site in Europe. The walk then follows the banks of the river Kennet back to the finish in Avebury where there will be time for a drink or tea at the National Trust Teashop
